The Wind Whistles are a Canadian indie folk duo founded in spring 2006. The group consists of Tom Prilesky and Liza Moser, who live together in the suburbs of Vancouver. They both sing and both play acoustic instruments such as guitar and bass.

In 2008, The Wind Whistles have released their first full-length album Window Sills under a Creative Commons license. It was published by the German net label, aaahh records.[2] In addition to the download as mp3 or ogg, the album is also available as a commercially sold CD.[3]

Following their first release, they have toured throughout America and especially Europe. In 2009, Animals Are People Too, their second full-length album, also under a CC-license, and The Secret Album followed, leading to another tour in Europe.
