Thomas & Friends (previously known as Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends) is a children's television series about the engines and other characters working on the railways of the Island of Sodor, and is based on The Railway Series books written by the Rev. W. Awdry.

This article lists and details episodes from the fourteenth series of the show, which was first broadcast in 2010. This series was narrated by Michael Angelis for the UK audiences, while Michael Brandon narrates the episodes for the US audiences.

Thomas is called upon to deliver a giraffe to the zoo, but he can't wait to show the giraffe to the children and leaves without waiting for the giraffe's keeper and soon runs into trouble. The giraffe will not follow Thomas' orders and will not lie down to go under a bridge.

James refuses to be fitted with an old-fashioned-looking lamp to help him see in the dark. However, the stubborn engine begins to regret his short-sighted decision when he is called upon to pick up opera singer Alicia Botti, the Mayor of Sodor, and the Brass Band for an evening concert, but accidentally collects Farmer Trotter, Farmer McColl, and their animals instead.

The Island Inspector pays a visit to Sodor, but Thomas' ambitious plans to impress him lead to chaos and flying coal trucks, but eventually corrects all of his mistakes to make the railway on Sodor a good railway for the inspector in the end, and knows he shouldn't have focused of making chaos, but that to impress the inespector, they all had just to do their work as usual, because that's what makes any engine, very useful.

One day Henry must help Sir Topham Hatt with a suprise for Christmas, which is contained in a box that Henry picks up at Brendam Docks. But when he comes back for the box at the farm, he can't spot it and he goes on a search for it. Finally, he realises that all the trees he has been seeing popping up at the farm, was actually what was in the box itself.

It's close to Christmas, and some children is missing a hat for their snowman; so Thomas decides to help them by looking for a hat. He comes across many different hats, but it later appears that they all belonged to important people that was also going to attend the Christmas party. In the end, Sir Topham Hatt gives the children his old hat, since he has got a new one now as a gift.

The Fat Controller enlists Thomas to teach the silly Logging Locos how to be useful, but he has already promised to play a game of hide and seek with Percy.

A new engine arrives on Sodor to help Whiff at the wastedumb, but when Scruff is about to get himself cleaned; he flies away and hides behind bushes and Thomas tries to get help from the other engines, but it doesn't work. Eventually he figures it out himself, and he brings Scruff to Whiff's waste dumb and Whiff and Scruff gets going to work with the rubbish trucks. Thomas had realised that Scruff is nearly like Whiff, liking rubbish shunting, and actually being dirty.

Gordon is put in charge of Whiff's Wastedumb on Clean Sodor Day, but he doesn't want the other engines to see him at the wastedumb, so every time an engine passes by the wastedumb with a truck of rubbish, Gordon finds a place to hide, until the Fat Controller arrives and reassures Gordon that everyone sometimes has to do things they don't like, and in this case all the engines who has been at the wastedumb, had done so, too.

Thomas takes Dowager Hatt on a slow tour of Misty Island, but the Dowager wants to have a more exciting trip, and eventually it becomes more exciting for her when she gets a faster run on Misty Island. And when she returns to see Sir Topham Hatt, she states she had a wonderful time with Thomas on this trip.

Dash, Bash and Ferdinand decide to throw a Christmas party, but before long the logging locos have caused chaos on Misty Island, but eventually with the help of the Steam Team and Sir Topham Hat, it becomes a good Christmas on Misty Island after all.
