South African War Memorial, Newcastle upon Tyne

Thomas Eyre Macklin RBA (1867–1943)[1] was a British artist, illustrator and sculptor. He is perhaps best known for the South African War Memorial in Percy Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, which is Grade II* listed.

He was born in Newcastle, the son of a landscape painter.[2]
