Thomas Thornely
Thomas Thornley, sometimes spelled Thornely, (1 Apr 1781 – 4 May 1862)[1] was a British Liberal Party politician.
He was elected at the 1835 general election as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Wolverhampton.[2] He was re-elected at the next five general elections, and stood down from the House of Commons at the 1859 general election.[2]
His friend, John Ashton Yates, was a fellow apprentice at the firm run by the William Rathbone family and also became an MP.[3]
