Thyra K. Stevenson (born in Palo Alto, California)[1] was a Republican Idaho State Representative representing District 6 in the A seat.[2]

Education

Stevenson earned her BA from Boston University, her MA in Spanish literature from New York University in Madrid, Spain, and her PhD ABD in Latin American literature from the University of Washington.

Elections

  • 2012 When Republican Representative Thomas Trail retired and left the 6A seat open, Stevenson was unopposed in the May 15, 2012 Republican Primary with 2,566 votes,[3] and won the November 6, 2012 General election with 9,814 votes (54.2%) against Democratic nominee Pete Gertonson.[4]
