Timothy Carl "Tim" Mickelson (born November 12, 1948) is an American rower who competed in the 1972 Summer Olympics.

He was born in Deerfield, Wisconsin.

Tim Mickelson is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI. In 1972 he was a crew member of the American boat which won the silver medal in the eights event. In 1974 he was a crew member of the American 8+ boat which placed first in the 1974 World Rowing Championships.
