Timpany School is a Christian mission school in the city of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. It was founded in the year 1931, in the Indian pre-independence era by Dr. Rev. A.W. Timpany of the Canadian Baptist Mission.[1][2] It is managed by the Evangelical Trust Association of South India (ETASI) and the Chairman of ETASI Dr. Ken Gnanakan, is also the current Chairman of Timpany Schools.[3] The medium of instruction for the school is English.[1]

The school has three campuses in and around Visakhapatnam with each campus affiliated to different Boards of Education:

Pre-school teacher training

The students are divided into houses Jupiter, Mercury, Neptune and Venus. Competitive spirit is displayed amongst students through inter-house competitions.

Celebrations

60th year celebrations in 1991

  • The school celebrated its 60th year at the Gurajada Kalakshetram amphitheater in Visakhapatnam. The students held shows and showcased their talents.

70th year celebrations in 2001

  • Timpany marked the entry into the new millennium with its 70th year celebrations.

75th year celebrations in 2001

80 year celebration in 2011

The 80th year celebration was conducted by the school in Port Stadium Grounds. Interhouse competitions were part of the celebrations.
