Tom Hood School is a secondary, 11-16 coeducational school located in Waltham Forest, Leytonstone, London. The school holds specialist Science College status.

Students

The school has over 30 ethnic groups represented in its student body, admitting only 180 students per year.

Facilities

The school includes six main block: Music room and Drama studio, Practical Block, Gymnasium, Sports Hall, Main Teaching Block and Tom Hood Advice and Support Centre (THASC), as well as seven science labs.

Relationship with the local community is somewhat strained at the moment. This is due to blatant disregard of local opinion regarding the establishment of an "trust" (sic) and the possibility of taking over part or all of the local park to do building work.
