Tomi Joutsen (born April 30, 1975) is a musician currently in the bands Sinisthra, as the vocalist/frontman, Corpse Molester Cult, as the guitarist and backing vocalist, Feelings, as the drummer and Funeral Jacket (unknown musical position), but he is most notably the vocalist for Amorphis. He was formally in the bands Käsi, as the vocalist & The Candles Burning Blue, as the drummer. In 1999, he founded Sinisthra with Markku Mäkinen under the name Evergreen. He performs both harsh and clean vocals, a contrast to the traditional heavy metal and punk rock stylish high-pitched voice of former Amorphis singer Pasi Koskinen. Tomi's voice style is very deep, similar to a gothic metal singer in the vein of Nick Holmes from Paradise Lost and Peter Steele of Type O Negative.[1]
