TripRewards is a branded, points-based rewards program for frequent travelers, the largest travel rewards program of its kind in the lodging industry based on the number of participating hotels.[1] It is owned by Wyndham Worldwide, formerly part of Cendant.

TripRewards members have the option of earning TripRewards points, which can be redeemed for shopping and dining gift certificates, airline tickets & miles, rail miles, and merchandise such as electronics, appliances and sporting goods, resort vacations, free entertainment and more.[1]

TripRewards is owned and operated by Travel Rewards, Inc. a subsidiary of Wyndham Worldwide. In early 2008, TripRewards was renamed Wyndham Rewards.

Earning Points, Airline Miles or Rail Miles

TripRewards members have the option of earning TripRewards points or airline or rail points. Users are asked to indicate their earning preference when they signup. If a user does not make a choice between points, airline or rail points, it is assumed that the user wishes to earn TripRewards Points.

Airline and Rail Partners

Those who have chosen to earn airline or rail points will have their earnings deposited directly into their account at the selected airline or rail partner. This setting can be changed on the TripRewards website.[2] The following airlines and railways are currently partners with TripRewards.

Those who elect to earn Airline Miles or Rail Miles are awarded 2 miles per per U.S. dollar on qualifying room rates at participating hotels. Members who select Air Canada Aeroplan as their earning partner will receive a minimum of 250 points for each stay.[2]

Members can only earn airline or rail points by staying at hotels. All other earnings are credited to the TripRewards account as TripRewards points. However, one can redeem his or her points to buy miles with their selected partner, but they will not be directly deposited.[3]

Hotel Stays

Members earn 10 points per U.S. dollar on qualifying room rates at participating hotels. Currently, members may earn points or miles at these Wyndham Worldwide brand hotels worldwide (unless noted otherwise):

Note: Travelodge properties in Canada are not participating in TripRewards. [4]
