The Tucson Arizona Temple is a temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) under construction in Catalina Foothills, Arizona. The intent to construct the temple was announced by church president Thomas S. Monson on Oct 6, 2012, during the church's semi-annual general conference.[6] The temple is anticipated to be approximately 34,000 square feet.[7]

On October 17, 2015, Dieter F. Uchtdorf presided at a groundbreaking to signify beginning of construction.[8][9]
