Uday (also transliterated as Odai, Oday, Ouday, or Udai,from original Sanskrit name Template:Lang-sa, Template:Lang-ar, IPA: [udɑj] ood-eye) is an Indian meaning dawn and Arabic (unrelated)( male given name meaning to rise, or ascend. In Arabic it means the first warrior in the Battle.
