Unicorn is the third studio album by British band Tyrannosaurus Rex, comprising Marc Bolan (vocals, guitar) and Steve Peregrin Took (bongos, African drums, kazoo, pixiphone, Chinese gong), released in 1969. It reached number 12 in the UK charts. It is the last of Tyrannosaurus Rex's albums featuring Took, because Bolan fired him after refusing to include Took's songs for the next album. This is also the first album by the band to be released in the US.
The back cover depicts Bolan and Took surrounded by books which have some relevance to the subject matter of the songs. They name check William Blake and the 'Cottingly fairies' a famous case of two children's photographs of alleged fairies taken near their Yorkshire home.
The final song on the album, "Romany Soup", features John Peel reciting a short story written by Bolan. Peel was an early supporter of the band.
