Biography

Unnati spent her childhood in Raipur. She graduated from Indira College, Pune.Born in a Gujarati business family in Chhattisgarh, 25-year-old Unnati grew up as a shy girl. Soon after her high school, she desired to go out of her comfort zone to fulfil her acting dreams as it was on her mind since childhood. She headed for Indira College, Pune where initially she was broken for being away from family but it was her college notice board which gave her a new way of life. She participated in MTV’s Miss Diva in 2007 and even won the contest. When she went back home to tell her career desires to the family, her father already had a business idea for his daughter in mind. He wanted Unnati to handle the family’s engineering college in Raipur but Unnati was never prepared for it. Somehow she succeeded in getting a nod from the family and went back to Pune with a promise that she would come back as Unnati Davara and not as anyone’s daughter or sister. Pune was the place where Unnati, with the help of Google, worked on herself and applied for the Miss India pageant. The journey took her to Odisha and finally she was crowned Miss India East at Kolkata in 2010. She fulfilled her promise to make her own identity and this time the family was fully supportive and Unnati continued with her dreams and landed up in Mumbai in June 2011. Without much effort, she got her first TV commercial opposite superstar Aamir Khan for Titan watches in July 2011. Her charming face earned her a lot of big names like Jabong.com, Acer, Blender’s Pride, Axis Bank, Pantaloons, Femina, Medimix Soap, LIC, Revlon and many more in both print and TV advertisements. Since then Unnati’s been living in Bombay and appearing for Bollywood auditions as well. Being very straightforward and clear in her mind, Unnati is always ready to learn. She’s been choosing her way wisely and taking up projects which give her creative satisfaction. She’s a traveler by heart and loves to dance. She’s been learning Kathak since 4 years and also gives performances for her own happiness. She loves to play guitar whenever possible and works out almost daily at the gym. She knows Hindi and Gujarati languages by default and has also learned Urdu, Bengali and Punjabi languages.

After finishing her Finance she started her career with Femina Miss India 2010, Davara won Femina Miss India East title and became one of the top 10 finalists. During the pageant she also won two sub-titles; Miss Vivacious and Miss Talented.
