Ursula Reit (née Schedereit; 5 March 1914 – 9 November 1998), also Ursula Reith, was a German television and movie actress, best known for her role as Mrs. Gloop, the mother of Golden Ticket winner Augustus Gloop in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971).[1][2]

Career[edit]

Most of her roles were on German television between 1965 and 1992, when she retired. After retiring, Reith vanished from the public eye. She was said to have died in 1998 from natural causes, although details about her death and personal life are unknown.[citation needed]
