Dianne R. Hales (born 1950) is an American author.

She has written numerous trade and textbooks, and three well-received books about Italy,[1] and for her book on the Italian language was bestowed an honorary knighthood by the President of Italy, with the title of Cavaliere dell'Ordine della Stella della Solidarietà Italiana (Knight of the Order of the Star of Italian Solidarity).
