iTrace[edit]
iTrace is an iPad app for teaching handwriting. It was developed by eLately - an international company with branches in New York, Munich, Hong Kong and St. Petersburg.
iTrace was released on January 17, 2013.
Intended Audience[edit]
iTrace is aimed at K-2 students and can be used in classrooms and at home. The app can also be a valuable tool for some people with disabilities - such as Dysgraphia
Features[edit]
Besides main front-end activities (such as tracing characters and words), iTrace has a variety of back-end features which allow for customization. Those are
- Maintaining a history of every attempt made by each player, so parents or teachers can easily review kids' progress
- Supporting multiple methodologies of letter writing
- Single switch from right-hand to left-hand setup
- Ability to add names and words
- Tools allowing teacher to monitor each student's progress in the classroom in real time
