Chaitra Gauri
As per Hindu Tradition and culture,this is a form of Goddess Parvati. AS per Hindu tradition ,this faith is famous that after marriage, Godess Parvati comes to her mothers's house for one month.She enjoyed with her friends and return after one month to her in-laws house.[1]
On the third day of lunar month Chaitra,this goddess enshrined in a holly swing. This worship takes place upto third day of lunar month of Vishakh. This day considered auspicious and called as Akshay Trutiya.[2]

[edit]As per Hindu tradition,specially in Maharashtra,this festival celebrated by women and girls. Women enshrined idol of Godess Annapurna or Parvati in a swing.[3][4] They offered Haldi, kumkum,sandalwood paste,insence ,flowers etc. Special offering for this particular day is a sweet juice prepared with row mango and jaggery.Another receipe used to made by women is mixture of row mango and gram seeds.[5]
Women and girls decorated the swing of Goddess as well as house. They made rangoli at doorstep.They invite their friends for Haldi Kumkum ceremony and offered them the special food.They sing traditional songs as well.
Chaitrangan -an unique featured rangoli
[edit]concept of Chitra Gauri worship followed by Secific Rangoli named Chaitrangan.This rangoli is made by women in their courtyrad. This particular rangoli symbolises the culture of India.[6] This includes almost 44 different symbols and forms which reflects the culture and tradition if Hindu festivals and ceremonies. In this rangoli drawing of goddess parvati is situated in the middle portion. goddess accompanied with her weapons namely Shanka,Chakra,Gadaa, Padma. Tulsi,mirror,mango,coconut,auspicious tree,are prominant signs in this rangoli.Tortoise,snaks,eagle are also depicted.[7]

In Rajasthan -This festival is celebrated as "GanaGaur".[8]
