[edit]On content gaps
[edit]Content gaps are parts of wikipedia that are underdeveloped. They are missing knowledge that could be helpful and useful to someone. Content gaps could arise as a result due to a variety of reasons: the writer of a particular article may not know all there is about a certain topic; the writer may for some reason not be able to finish writing a particular part of the article, creating gaps; editing errors could erase parts of an article after it has been finished. The way to close content gaps is for the greater community of wikipedia to come together and fill in the gaps with their knowledge. In my opinion, it does not matter who writes on Wikipedia as long as they have the required, properly cited bit of knowledge. However, experts on a certain area may be better suited to write certain articles because the required knowledge may be more accessible to them. I think to be unbiased on wikipedia means to present information as is without subservience to any agenda. This, I believe, is similar to my definition of bias because it stipulates that you act as an autonomous agent irrespective to public opinion on a issue. My recommendations for creating an article on the journal "The engineering Economist" are the following: first, the article is needed because already, it has been cited twice despite the fact that it does not yet exist; it will fill in a content gap and help provide backing to the articles that have and will cite it.
Copyediting articles
[edit]This article is to outline my edits on a paragraph form the North America (Mexico) section of the article Engineering education. My focus is on grammar. Original text: The first University on Mexico in offers degrees in some Engineering fields was the Pontifical and royal University of Mexico, established under the Spanish rule; the degrees offered by includes Mines Engineering and Physical Mathematical state of the art knowledge from Europe.
