[[1]] This is a novel written by ARAVIND ADIGAAravind_Adiga who was born in Chennai he was educated in Mangalore, where he emigrated to Sydney and New York. his first novel is named the white tiger where he addresses the Chinese premier called Wen Jiabao. and writes letters to him to telling him about his lives and the struggles and success he faced from his hometown till he settles in Bangalore. it also narrates how from his childhood the life of an Indian boy from a village looks like,and how he gradually learned things and left the village named by the author as Laxmangarh

called 'the darkness' to earn a living and how he understands people and the way they behave or change according to their colours or situations and how he broke against the decision that most people wont have even decided to take and he escapes to Bangalore. this novel is a dark comedy to India's and Indians ways of living and their thoughts and beliefs.

Plot

The book begins by the author who writes his first letter to the Chinese premier enquirer about this apparent visit to Bangalore, he tells that he has not received any formal education, he also tells us about this special affection towards ancient china and the book he read called;'exciting tales of the exotic east' he tells us that the future belongs to the Chinese and Indians and that he starts telling the truth about Bangalore by narrating his own life history. he introduces himself as a driver called Balram to mr Ashok his ex-employer and that he is been asking some questions to him and the way he answers it, he also tells his wife that this is the problem about the people of this country that they are half baked then he contemplates about the words his employer said he felt bad but he also realised that it was also true.he also tells us about the physical changes that he had undergone as he had moved from Delhi to Bangalore he also narrates about his childhood, his family members and the unfortunate death of his mother and how he was going to his school this tells about the family life in his village his father's death and how his brother got married and the dowry they received that is still prevalent in India and how they move to Dhanbad in Uttar Pradesh. he used to work in the tea shop, the gossips he heard in the teashop and learnt that driving will help you earn a good amount of money so he wanted to learn how to drive a car,and joined as a driver to the rich politician in Delhi and the incidents of rival between himself and his other colleague, the other chores he used to do other than being a driver, the unfortunate incidents that happens during his service as a driver, how he kills his ex-employer to get the red bag, how he escapes without getting caught by the police and gets to Bangalore.

Conclusion

This novel brings out the ugly truth about India how the people live in utter poverty on one side and how there are extremely rich people and how people are used to corruption and compromise in every situation in life, and also about the concept of hen coop which he broke free and went out to his own life and how he settled in Bangalore and became a least famous enterprise.
