Sarmad Sindhi ( Sindhi سرمد سنڌي Urdu سرمد سندھی‎ ) was a popular Sindhi singer from Sindh, Pakistan. He was born on 07 July 1961 at Piryaloi, Khairpur Mirs, Sindh. Sarmad Sindhi's real name was Abdul Rahman Mughal and became the most popular singer of all times and was given the title of Sindh Jo Beejal. [1]

Education[edit]

Abdul Rahman Mughal got early education from his native town Piryaloi and then went to Khairpur Mirs for further education and got the diploma of associate engineering in civil technology.

Career as an engineer[edit]

After getting diploma in civil engineering he started his professional career as Assistant Directori in Building control Authority Karachi where he worked till his death.

Career as a singer[edit]

During his studies he started singing folk songs in the gatherings of friends and then in school and college functions.The nationalist political parties started inviting him in Jashan-e-Latif celebrated by them in various cities of Sindh. He became very popular among youngsters and became the essential part of such functions. He gained immense fame when his song Tunhjay Yad ji wari Aa Weer was broadcast from Radio Pakistan.The song was appreciated a lot by the people of Sindh.He sang national songs of Sindh and got the tiltle of National Singer of Sindh when his song O Qaatil Badlo Wathanda Seen was released. His several cassetts were also released by different cassette companies which increased his listeners in millions.

Death[edit]

He died in a road accident near Thatta on December 27, 1997 early in the wee hours when he was travelling from Badin to Karachi.
