The Supermarket was owned by Phil’s father Philton Faul. Fezzo’s is named after Mr. Philton Faul because of his nickname Fezzo.

In 1914, children were making their own toys. Folk Toysstate, “In many countries around the world, children can't buy toys because they're too expensive. So these children learn to build them themselves.” The Children were building toys with wooden spools that were used to hold thread. The toys would range from cars to sling shots.

The name Fezzo is Cajun French for spool, and is pronounced “FEE-zo.” Philton Faul was nicknamed Fezzo at a young age by the local postmaster, because he played with the wooden spools as a child. He was one of the many children who made toys with wooden spools. The nicknamed was carried with him through out his life.
