I'm aczid, a Dutch computer science student specializing in computer security. I started programming in my teens around the time Wikipedia was started. I have some experience in writing high-performance software in C and hand-optimizing AVR assembly for size.

I drafted what is surely the smallest implementation of the PRESENT block cipher for AVR microcontrollers (the same chip that powers the Arduino). [1]

I'm generally content working at the "bits & bytes" level, but also quite at home with programming in functional languages and anything that requires a MVC approach.

Later in life I learned a bit about the theoretical backgrounds of computer science like language, computability, complexity, formal logic and number theory. But I could not have done it without Wikipedia!
