Connie Nshemereirwe is a Ugandan civil engineer turned facilitator, educationalist, trainer, writer, researcher and speaker. She runs her own business by creating digital content for early childhood literacy.[1]

Background and Education[edit]

Connie is a born of Kampala, Uganda. She did a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1998. In 2004 she did a Masters degree in the Design of Educational and Training systems. She spent 15 years as an academic at the Uganda Martyrs University. She holds a PhD in Educational Measurement, and is a member of the Uganda Evaluation Association.[2]

Career[edit]

Connie is the immediate past Co-Chair of the Global Young Academy as well as the general secretary and she is also on the Steering Committee of the Africa Science Leadership Programme (ASLP) based at the Future Africa Campus of the University of Pretoria in South Africa. She is also member of the Faculty in the Advanced Research Design for Policy-Oriented Research (ARD) programme ran by the Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR) based in Nairobi, Kenya. In November 2019, she represented Uganda National Young Academy(UNYA) at the signing of the "Declaration on the guiding principles of National Young Academies" at the World Science Forum in Budapest. She is also the Quality Assurance Director at Cavendish University Uganda.[3][4][5][6]
