Dr. Jitendra Singh is an Indian politician and a member of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP)[1]. He is currently serving as the Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO)[2], the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, and the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions[3], Department of Atomic Energy [4]and Department of Space.[5]


Dr. Singh was born on June 6, 1956, in Jammu and Kashmir, India. He completed his medical education at the Government Medical College in Jammu and worked as a physician before entering politics. He joined the BJP in 1986 and has held various positions within the party, including being the Chief Spokesperson of the BJP in Jammu and Kashmir.

Dr. Singh was first elected to the Lok Sabha (the lower house of the Indian Parliament) in 2014 from the Udhampur constituency in Jammu and Kashmir. He was re-elected from the same constituency in 2019. As a Member of Parliament, Dr. Singh has been actively involved in the development of his constituency and has worked to improve infrastructure, education, and healthcare in the region.

In addition to his role as a Member of Parliament, Dr. Singh has also held various ministerial positions in the Indian government. He was appointed as the Minister of State in the Ministry of Science and Technology[6] and the Ministry of Earth Sciences[7] in 2014.
