Alexandros Apostolakis (Athens, 1984), is a greek archaeologist, art historian with MS of Heritage Preservation & Conservation.

He graduated from the Department of Art History and Archeology at the School of Philosophy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with specialization in Archeology and History of Art, and he attended academic seminars for three consecutive years at the Archaeological Society of Athens. He completed postgraduate studies on Heritage Preservation and Conservation in the National University of Conservation, Restoration and Museology "Manuel del Castillo Negrete", ENCRyM - National Institute of Anthropology and History, INAH, Mexico City, Mexico.

Mexico[edit]

He lived for 7 years in Mexico City and became a member of the Election Committee of the Greek Community of Mexico / Chair: Culture, Counselor in Cultural Affairs and Leader of Cultural Projects during the period 2012 - 2013. In Mexico, in addition to his postgraduate studies, he had an important activity in promoting Greek culture through the Greek Community in Mexico City, conferences and his cooperation with the Greek Embassy in Mexico.

He was the leader and curator of the exhibition "Parthenon: Architecture and Art[1][2][3]" (in spanish: Partenon: Arquitectura y Arte[4][5]) at the National Museum of Architecture at the Palace of Fine Arts, CONACULTA-INBA, Mexico City, attended by the Acropolis Museum, The Conservation Service of the Acropolis Monuments (YSMA), the National Archaeological Museum of Athens, the Athens City Museum, the Institute of Technology and Research, the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Mexico Central America and the Caribbean Islands, the Greek Community of Mexico and the Palace of Fine Arts of Mexico. The exhibition in 2 months had 81,000 visitors and he made 22 guided tours with an attendance of 543 people, including children and adults.


In addition, he collaborated with the Greek Embassy in Mexico as the cultural consultant and curator of the exhibition "Greece in Tianguistenco" (in Spanish "Grecia en Santiago Tianguistenco") with great success.
