Hey, Alphabeter... I've edited and seriously reorganized the le Carre article. Check it out, see what you think... --(Mingus ah um 01:52, 6 May 2006 (UTC))

Hi, Alphabeter. Would it be possible for this article to say when the relevant period was in calendar years? The link to Edo period is right there, of course, but shouldn't an article stand on its own for such basic information? Many thanks. DSatz 15:45, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

Greetings, I'm currently taking a Japanese history course. In our course packet, there are some sections that refer to a book "Punishment and Power in the Making of Modern Japan" by Daniel V. Botsman. Princeton University Press. Anyway, there is some discussion of shi-no-ko-sho in the book (I was wondering if my guess about the four Kanji for the word was correct). I came across the wikipedia page with no citations and I thought you might want to check out this resource for some citations/further information. Discussion seems to start at the beginning of chapter 3, page 59, at least in the version that I am reading.

Thanks for volunteering to help clean this up. I think one of the main issues is that the article is written too much like a how-to and not in a formal tone. Stifle (talk) 12:18, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
