How The Unknown Take their Re-‘Venge’ Horror movies are sort of a dying breed. With most of them focusing on a lot of blood gushing, and screaming and yelling at every predictable situation; they hardly seem to fright us at most of the times. Most of them revolve around people, who somehow manage to get themselves in a conventional situation where they are destined to die one by one and the thrill one gets out of them is hardly potent. A great horror movie needs an original plot. ‘Venge’ seems to have that original element of surprise in it. It talks about the ‘unknown’; the unknown evil that resides within us, which should not be disturbed. A family involves in a harmless game of trying to capture the evil spirit, but when the evil visits them, it takes all by surprise. Their normal lives turn into a desperate effort to fight with these demonic spirits. The spirits possess a young boy, who initially struggles to be rescued; but then totally gives in to these powers. As the evil takes over the boy’s heart and all the virtue that’s left in it, it starts to burgeon and spread. It is the story of the ultimate fight between the supreme powers and the devilish spirits. The movie has been made after extensive research on the topic. The makers of Venge, do not force their ideas of demonic possession onto their viewers, instead they build it up in a way which is sure to send chills down to your spine. The movie has an excellent screenplay; and as you see the boy gradually becoming dispirited, you would actually feel the family’s pain and fear. You can feel the passion in his mother’s prayers and her desperation. The great story is bundled with extremely natural and believable acting by the actors. Unlike, most of the horror movies of today ‘Venge’ does not have the typical dialogues and semi nude teenagers, which has sort of become a standard of horror movies of today. The movie’s trailer brought back the memories of the great masterpiece The Exorcist, which is still one of the most scariest movies to date and definitely a benchmark of its genre. ‘Venge’ captures the true essence of a great horror movie. The element of exorcism in the present day reminds us of the supreme power of God and how the evil should be left undisturbed.

The makers seem to get the idea right about making a horror movie, where the emphasis is on a great story and plot. So, I can absolutely not wait for the movie’s release date and in the mean while, if you still haven’t managed to catch the teaser; I strongly suggest that you do, as it would give you the goose bumps till we get to see the whole thing. The teasers are already making waves on facebook and YouTube.
