BIOGRAPHY

[edit]

She comes from a family boasting artistic talents. One of her ancestors, Alfred Jan Wierusz Kowalski, an apprentice of Józef Brandt, was a famous Polish painter and one of the major representatives of the so called Munich school, and a honorary professor of Munich Academy.

She studied at the Faculty of Industrial Forms and at the Faculty of Painting at the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts. She received her diploma under the supervision of a great Polish painter – Tadeusz Brzozowski. She has participated in painting exhibitions from Europe to Argentina:

She created and for six years (1992-97) supervised a private post-maturity exam school named “The Visual Art School”, for which she wrote her own programs of education. There she connected the Socratic idea of creative dialogue with the universal interdisciplinary education based on the Bauhaus patterns.

For many years she has been conducting courses called „Artistic Workshops”, delivering lectures on geometric-architectonic principles of drawing, study drawing, creative drawing, painting, history and the theory of art and design. She organises open-airs for the youth, both at home and abroad, as well as post-open-air exhibitions.

She does easel painting, drawing, spacial forms (fabric) and photography. From time to time she sporadically and selectively designs interiors of both public and private buildings while treating each and every project as a unique and inimitable piece of art.

Her didactive-projective business is run within the framework of Form and Function – Artistic Workshops company in Poland, to be more specific in Bielsko-Biała on Cechowa 23 street (www.warsztatyartystyczne.pl).

She also does some journalism – being the author of essays and outlines on the theory of art. She cooperates with the “Amici di Tworki” Association, whose workings have been incorporated into the “Schizophrenia – Open the Doors” World Program, which opposes the discrimination and social seclusion of the mentaly ill. She participates in the auctions and exhibitions organised by the Association worlwide.

Her works are a private property of people from Europe, Argentina, Canada and the USA. She is a member of A.P.A.J.T.E. – Polish Association of Authors, Journalists and Translators in Europe, the headquaters of which is in Paris.
