Samuel "Sam" Rhette (born June 14, 1966) is an American business magnate, socialite, and author. He is the Chairman and CEO of Topaz Industries, a US-based real-estate developer. Rhette is also the founder of Topaz Entertainment Resorts, which operates numerous casinos and hotels across the world. Sam Rhette is considered a possible candidate for President of the United States in 2012.[6][7]
Samuel is the son of Michael Rhette, a technology developer based in Los Angeles and self-made millionaire. Sam was strongly influenced by his father in his eventual goals to make a career in technology development,[8] and upon his graduation from the California Institute of Technology in 1988, Sam joined his father's company, Elizabeth Rhette & Son;[9] taking its helm in 1991 and rechristening it Topaz Industries.[10][11]
