Katia Wille[edit]

Katia Wille (born 1971 Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a Brazilian artist known for her figurative paintings and Art installations that incorporate Artificial Intelligence and Robotics.

Biography[edit]

Katia Wille studied Design and International Fashion Management at the AMFI / University of Amsterdam and gave guest lectures about Creative Processes for the Arts and Design programme at PUC University Rio de Janeiro. Over the last 15 years she has lived and worked in Brazil, The Netherlands and China.

Work[edit]

In January 2020 presented the exhibition "Tota Machina" at the Museum of Sacred Art of São Paulo (MAS) her current research into the tri-dimensionality of the image led the artist to a series of exhibitions and experiments in which Art intersects with Technology, called "TOTA MACHINA"[1]

In 2019 she launched her first exhibition "Das Tripas Coração"[2] combining her painted surfaces with Artificial Intelligence and Robotics at the Museu da Republica/Catete Palace, Rio de Janeiro 

In 2018 Galeria Bianca Boeckel - São Paulo “Mas Afinal: Quem tem medo de tamanha liberdade?”[3]

In 2017 the artist was invited to an individual exhibition at the Centro Cultural Justiça Federal (CCJF-RJ) -  Rio de Janeiro[4]

In 2016/17 she was part of the Z42 Artist Residence in Rio de Janeiro and exhibited several times in the Z42 mansion[5]
