Have you studied music professionally?‎ Yes. My first teacher was my father. He taught me classical and semi-classical music. ‎I have also learned music from Ustad Khan Mohammad Adel and from a great ‎musician, Master Nawab Ali. I want to thank A.R Anwar for teaching me to compose.‎

What type of songs do you sing?‎ We have three kinds of music: classical, semi-classical and local. I sing all these ‎styles. ‎

Can you play any instruments?‎ I inherited an ability to play the harmonium; I learned it from my father. I also can ‎play drums, keyboard and Rabab.‎

Have you had any concerts?‎ Yes. I have had concerts in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Dubai. I also participated in a ‎music festival in Japan in 2003. I am planning to have concerts in Germany and ‎Canada.‎

Who are your favourite singers?‎ I love Dr Nashenas, Khyal Mohammad and my father Ustad Shawali. I also like the ‎voice of Momtaz Wali, Sahib-u Din and Baryali Samadi, the young singers of ‎Afghanistan.‎

What music are you doing next?‎ I am working on my next album, which I want to make in a new style. I also sing at ‎private parties.‎

What else do you wish for?‎ Music is the identification of the people and the nation. I am making an effort to do ‎my best. I hope I can enrich Afghan music and bring recognition for my country.‎
