[edit]The Pyramid Texts is a Sumerian folk, Egyptian folk, soft rock, ambient, experimental, instrumental, musique concrète, and minimalist album that infuses post-rock, alternative rock, dark ambient, experimental rock, progressive rock, and art rock elements in its music.
With the release of the album, the band coined the genres "Mesopotamian rock", "Sumerian rock", and "Egyptian rock" as subgenres of traditional Mesopotamian and Egyptian music.
