Here, I shall provide answers to RfA questions, which will be checked later by my coach Nousernamesleft. Remember this is a draft.

1. What admin work do you intend to take part in?

A: Many of you are familiar with the huge backlogs WP suffers from in certain areas (e.g. WP:SSP, WP:DYK ). This issue needs to be addressed quickly, and I intend to help out with that. Other areas where I am interested in taking part in include:
i. Fighting vandalism; taking part in WP:AIV and WP:UAA.
ii. I am familiar with speedy deletion, thus I intend to take part in WP:CSD.
iii.Assume a more active role in WP:DYK, and WP:DYK.

2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?

A: As far as mainspace editing is concerned, I have to say that I proud of my contributions to two articles in particular, now listed as GA's. The first one is Green marketing, and the second is Apple. I have also started a number of articles, but they remain as stubs.
I am also happy with my WP:GL contributions, and in particular to their workshop. You can find some examples of the humble work i did there on this page.
Nevertheless, in my opinion, my best contributions to WP are those concerned with either helping out new users, or fighting vandalism. The most important component of WP is its dedicated users and community, thus the best thing one can do is to encourage and help new users become part of this community. Sometimes small things such as a welcome note could make all difference between creating an account just to edit a certain article and becoming a major WP contributor.

3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?

A:I have never been engaged in an edit war before. However some users have caused me stress; users who intentionally ignore WP guidelines and argue about the righteousness of their edits; I can think of this user for instance who argued about the sources of an article and kept tagging it despite my efforts and other users' efforts to convince him to stop doing so. He was eventually blocked for their violations.
Tagging some new pages with speedy deletion has brought me into contact with new users who might have not completely understood WP policies. Some of them actually welcome feedback and ask for advice, others might be a little defensive or resort to vandalism such as this user who vandalised my user page 6 times.
Other than that, I have had several discussions with more experienced users regarding several policies and WikiProjects, but I think that's a normal part of WP, and a one that helps to broaden one's horizon.

(Please remember I have not given this much thought, so I know my answers are far from being excellent or even good, however I will appreciate your input)

  • I will work on these during this weekend.... I am not planning to run for admin until April, so I have plenty of time.. Λua∫Wise (Operibus anteire)

You know, one of my good articles actually is part of that project, and I'm rather interested in history as well as math, so i think I'll join. I didn't really use my bot (it's not even close to completed yet; various breaks on my part and the sheer ineptness of my coding skill have seen to that), but I did use some code which scanned your contributions. Have fun with your assignment! Nousernamesleftcopper, not wood 21:17, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

I knew you used something automatic, I just could not put my finger on it.....I mean, choosing a Baghdad battle that happened 800 years ago was either too random or too specific, and so far I do not know what to make of it ;)..right now I am gathering sources to be used there.
Henri B. is part of WikiProject Military History? I honestly did not know that and I can not understand why; he had some role to play in the army, but most people at his time did. Oh well, you know what they say: the more paths to an article, the better.
How are the admin tools? :)
Λua∫Wise (Operibus anteire) 18:34, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
Well, Henri Brocard did participate in a major battle, and was taken as a POW, so I guess he qualifies. The sysop tools are useful, though my only block is myself so far. ;) Nousernamesleftcopper, not wood 00:10, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
I would not even ask you what "my only block is myself so far" means and how! :-)
I hope that my main page which lists you as a Wikipedian administrator is not meant to imply that you are not an editor but to place emphasis on the fact you are a sysop.. :)
Λua∫Wise (Operibus anteire) 17:05, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
Of course. But adminship is no big deal. ;) As for the blocking thing, see here. Nousernamesleftcopper, not wood 03:32, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
I keep getting that it is not a big deal, in fact it is!! I mean would anyone bother to go through this whole sysoping process if it was not a big deal?
Anyway, I will have a lot of free time this weekend to work a bit here (assignment). Λua∫Wise (Operibus anteire) 14:51, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
Shh! You're letting the cabal's secret out! ;) Nousernamesleftcopper, not wood 19:16, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
lol :D Λua∫Wise (Operibus anteire) 19:46, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
I'm going on Wikibreak till April. I expect the assignment done when I get back! ;) Nousernamesleftcopper, not wood 21:21, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
Yes sir! :) Λua∫Wise (Operibus anteire) 11:57, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
I'm baaaack. But I see that you didn't even edit the article. :( I guess you're studying for some exams, though... Nousernamesleftcopper, not wood 21:52, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
Sorry about that, it is just that I have a lot of things to do, and -as you can see from my contributions history- I am not editing any article at all. I think I will suspend this whole admin thing, and even perhaps leave WP altogether...this is a pivotal point in my life, and I can not afford to spare some time for WP editing :(.
Thanks for all your help, and good luck! Λua∫Wise (Operibus anteire) 13:55, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
Okay, that's really all right! In understand about the exams, I think. ;) See you around... maybe. Nousernamesleftcopper, not wood 21:04, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
