Nominations[edit]

"I Thought I Lost You" was nominated for Critic's Choice Award 2009 "Best Song" and Golden Globe 2009 "Best Original Song - Motion Picture," but lost both to Bruce Springsteen's "The Wrestler (song)" from the movie The Wrestler (2008 film). [2][3]

Of the Golden Globe nomination Cyrus said, "It wasn't a song I would ever think would be nominated, it was the last song I would expect to be nominated because it felt so easy...but when I listen to it I understand why it is."[4] Jeffrey Steele, also a first time nominee, said "She was so excited because it only took a couple of hours." of Cyrus' reaction to the nomination.
