Augustine Ime "Austyn IJ" Austyn IJ was born in Nnung-Ikot, Akwa Ibom State.[1] His parents were from Nnung Ikot, Akwa ibom State, Nigeria. The name Austyn Ij was passed down from his father Ime Johnson, who is a business man; In an interview with Gospel Trends he said, "As far as I can remember, we used to play with anything, with any sound of instrumental thing we could find, and whenever we managed to get hold of a mic, that was a bonus!
