'"Aurelio Agliata'" (* 26th of November 1978 in Wadern) is a Italian-German film director, screenwriter and producer.

life and work

Aurelio Agliata is the son of Sicilian immigrants, who came to Germany in the 1960-ies. His parents Angelo Agliata and Francesca Bruccoleri are from Favara, in the province Agrigent in Sicilies/Italy. By his family and friends he is called Toni. Toni was born in Wadern, in Germany, where he lived for four years. Then he moved with his family to Hermeskeil. After the highschool diploma in economics in Trier (1999) and the successfull studies in hotel management (2003), he worked as a concept author and opening director for different gastronomic projects in Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg.

He visited (from 2006 to 2007) a film academy in Spain. During his time in Spain he had the opportunity to work with different film productions and advertising productions. In 2007 he moved to Berlin to start an other autodidactic study in film. In 2008 he initiated in Berlin the "creative film pool" to realise short films together with other young filmmakers. In 2009 he founded the film production company „Papanova Film“, wich offered the platform to produce his first feature „Lady Europe“.
