NewBase Computer Services Pty Ltd ( NCS ) is a Queensland, Australian Computer Services company started on the 13th Feb 1992 by Leo Newman, Penny Basile & Peter Ellwood.
The name NewBase comes from the following;
1. The capital N and B signify nb. Latin for Note Well 2. The New and Bas are the first three letters of two founders of NCS 3. The words New and Base were to signify the company was starting from the beginning with a New client base. 3. NewBase was a registered trading name two of the founders, Newman & Basile, before starting NCS.
NCS opened its doors for business at 1/37 Merivale st South Brisbane, Queensland, Australia on the morning of 13th Feb 1992.
In May of 1993 Leo Newman passed away one Sunday morning on or around 2am due to heart failure.
