Natalie Brunell is a Polish-American television news reporter, investigative journalist, podcast host and educator. As of 2020, she is senior correspondent and investigative reporter for Spectrum News 1 LA as well as Adjunct Instructor at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.[1][2] She hosts the Career Stories podcast.[3]

Early Life[edit]
Natalie was born in Lodz, Poland before the fall of the Soviet Union. She and her parents emigrated to the United States when she was 5 years old.[1] Her family took up residence in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. She attended Pepperdine University where she double-majored in Journalism and Italian.Cite error: The <ref> tag name cannot be a simple integer (see the help page). Following college she worked at Creative Artists Agency then attended the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
Career[edit]
In 2012, Natalie was CNN's Master News Fellow in Los Angeles. She then became an investigative reporter and fill-in anchor at KESQ-TV in Palm Springs, CA and a reporter at KCRA-TV in Sacramento, CA.[4] In 2018 she became national correspondent for ABC News based in Los Angeles and in 2019 investigator for Spectrum News.
Awards[edit]
In 2016 Natalie was nominated for an Emmy Award for her an investigative report titled "Scandal at City Hall".[5]. The same year, she was part of Emmy Award-winning investigative team at KESQ for Breaking News Coverage.[citation needed] She was a finalist for a National Press Club award for an interview of Maz Jobrani.[6]
In 2014, Natalie was the winner of the "Dancing with the Desert Stars" competition in Palm Springs.[7]
