Tony Plant (born 1962) is an English abstract painter. Born in Cornwall, he trained at Chelsea College of Art, London, graduating in 1990. Working mostly with 'found objects' his paintings and large scale, site specific interventions examine landscape and the human response to place.

He has been the subject a major solo painting Museum show at Royal Cornwall Museum, ICA, Truro Cathedral, films of beach drawings have been screened at BAFTA endorsed Aesthetica Film Festival, Hull City of Culture.

In 2019 he was awarded a residency at Porthmeor Studios during which time he developed a 3 year series of paintings rooted in walks along the coastline and whole beach drawings between the 2 studios of Patrick Heron and Bryan Wynter at Zennor Carn.

Delivered talks at Charles Causley Festival, and Ocean Film Festival. Plant lives and works in Cornwall, South West England and is a lifelong surfer, continues to support Surfers Against Sewage and the Plastic Project.
