Benjamin Seara Da Cunha is a boxer French-Portuguese born in France on (1993-02-04)February 4, 1993 in Mantes-la-Jolie

Sports career[edit]

Benjamin Seara Da Cunha grew up between Portugal in Fiscal (Amares) in the district of Braga and France, in Mantes-la-Jolie, where he began boxing in 2011. Da Cunha became a professional in 2016 in the category of super-light weights. After a very complicated start to his career (three defeats in as many fights, all on the judges' decision twice on split decision), he leaves France.

He settles in March 2018 in Azusa east of Los Angeles in California. It changes category and moves to lightweights. He made his debut in the United States at a boxing gala organized by the Golden Boy Promotional Company in Indio, California, in California. He lost his fourth fight by decision to Raymond Muratalla.

In October 2018, he arrives in Tijuana, in Mexico, and trains under the guidance of the former world champion Raúl Pérez. There he fights against local boxers.

On 30 November 2018, he wins his fight against Edgar Ornelas by KO in the first round.

He won again on 7 December 2018 against Jose Manuel Teran Mendoza, this time by stop of the referee in the second round.

He finished with a KO victory again in the second round against Óscar Alejandro Cano on December 14, 2019. Three fights and three wins before the limit in three weeks.

On 26 April 2019, he won his fourth straight victory before the limit by defeating Mexico's Marcos Ochoa by abandonment in the third round.

His record now stands at eight fights, four wins before the limit for four defeats on points.
