Bertus B is a Wikipedia author and part-time student in Electronic Engineering at the University of Stellenbosch. He lives in a residence called Eendrag when its roof isn't burning, and is a member of TBT Student Church.

Early life

Bertus was born in Pretoria, South Africa on Friday, June 13, 1986. He then moved around the country for a couple of years before settling in Stellenbosch, about 50 km east of Cape Town. At the age of three, he and his family left for State College, Pennsylvania, where his father did his doctorate in Mechanical Engineering at Pennsylvania State University.

They returned to South Africa in December 1991, and the following year Bertus started his school career at Laerskool Stellenbosch (Stellenbosch Primary School). While in primary school, Bertus developed many of his interests and hobbies. He started playing rugby at age seven, continued playing until he left high school, and is still a fanatical supporter of the Western Province, Stormers and Springbok teams.
