The Political Adviser to the Hong Kong Government (Chinese: 香港政府政治顧問), or the Political Adviser to the Governor of Hong Kong (Chinese: 香港總督政治顧問), was responsible for providing suggestions to the Governor and colonial government of Hong Kong regarding political matters in China and Hong Kong. Political advisers were diplomats sent to Hong Kong by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
