• Briefly describe why you have chosen this article to evaluate: The reason why I choose this article is because I wanted to know more about social work. It is the first time heard about this word and I have no idea about whether we have this kind of work in China.

This article gives professional describes of what social work is and what types are exists.

Content

• Is the content up-to-date?
• Is there content that is missing or content that does not belong?

Content evaluation

All the information relate to the topic and up-to-date. It has three long quotes to explain the definition and I think it could be narrow down a little bit. It also include all the possible areas of social work which are great.

• Are there any claims that appear heavily biased toward a particular position?
• Are there viewpoints that are overrepresented, or underrepresented?
• Does the article attempt to persuade the reader in favor of one position or away from another?

Tone and balance evaluation

The article is very neutral. There is no heavy claims. All the view points are well-represented although I believe the Use of information technology in social work could be underrepresented.

• Are the sources thorough - i.e. Do they reflect the available literature on the topic?

Sources and references are backed up by reliable secondary source of information and reflect the available literature on the topic. Most of the sources are current and links are working.

Organization

• Is the article well-written - i.e. Is it concise, clear, and easy to read?
• Does the article have any grammatical or spelling errors?
• Is the article well-organized - i.e. broken down into sections that reflect the major points of the topic?

Organization evaluation

I think it is a easy-reading article and I personally did not find any grammatical errors.

Images and Media

Guiding questions

• Does the article include images that enhance understanding of the topic?
• Are images well-captioned?
• Do all images adhere to Wikipedia's copyright regulations?
• Are the images laid out in a visually appealing way?

Images and media evaluation

For images, the main image is helpful to help people understand the topic but there could be more images.

Checking the talk page

Guiding questions

• What kinds of conversations, if any, are going on behind the scenes about how to represent this topic?
• How is the article rated? Is it a part of any WikiProjects?
• How does the way Wikipedia discusses this topic differ from the way we've talked about it in class?

Talk page evaluation

Most of the talks are talking about the feelings after reading this article. It is like another Forum we are doing. It is a B-class and is of interest to the following WikiProjects.

• What are the article's strengths?
• How can the article be improved?
• How would you assess the article's completeness - i.e. Is the article well-developed? Is it underdeveloped or poorly developed?

Overall evaluation

I personally think this is a professional and creditable article when someone needs some basic information about social work. I do believe there could be more real examples to help others better understand the topic.
