Lester Clifford "Les" Pyette (Born May 31, 1945) is a retired Canadian journalist, editor, and publisher. Pyette was inducted into the Canadian News Hall of Fame on October 15th, 2013 for his 41-year news career.Cite error: The <ref> tag has too many names (see the help page). Pyette's career in the news business lasted for 41 years, 29 of them spent with the Sun.[1] Pyette started working for the Toronto Sun in 1974, [2] moving to Calgary in 1980 to help start the Calgary Sun. Les was publisher of the Calgary Sun before moving to London, Ontario and becoming publisher of the London Free Press in 1999. Les became publisher of the Toronto Sun in 2001 for two years, later becoming publisher of the National Post in 2005 for seven months.<ref name=Wikipedia[1]</ref> Pyette currently resides in London, Ontario with four of his eight children.
