Degradation[edit]

PCP is degraded by some bacteria, including Sphingobacterium chlorophenolicum[1]

PCP → TCHQ → TriCHQ → DCHQ → 2,4-dichloro-3-hydroxy-cis,cis-muconic semialdehyde[1]
