This is a list of the Governors-General of Australia in order of longevity. There are currently twenty-five Governors-General on the list and seven living Governors-General. The list is in descending order and is correct as of November 11, 2024. The oldest Governor-General is William McKell (1891 - 1985), who died at the age of 93 years, 107 days. The oldest living Governor-General is Ninian Stephen. He is currently 101 years, 149 days old and has held the title of oldest living Governor-General since December 8, 2011.

To account for the different number of leap days within the life of each Governor-General, two measures of longevity are given. The first is the number of whole years the Governor-General lived, and the number of days past their last birthday. The second lists the total number of days lived by the Governor-General, accounting for differing numbers of leap years within the lifespans of different Governors-General.
