Background

[edit]

Ganglion Mother cells(GMCs) are cells involved in neurogenesis that divide only once to give rise to two neurons. GMCs are the progeny of Neuroblasts. Neuroblasts asymmetrically divide during embryogenesis to create GMCs.[1] Embryonic neurogenesis has been extensively studied in Drasophlia Melangaster embryos.
