2016 Baileys Women's Prize for Fiction
[edit]The Women's Prize for Fiction 2016 was awarded at a ceremony on 8 June 2016 at the Royal Festival Hall. The prize was awarded to Irish writer Lisa McInerney for her debut novel The Glorious Heresies, receiving £30,000 and a limited edition bronze figurine, known as the 'Bessie'.[1] The Women's Prize for Fiction 2016 longlist of twenty books was announced on 8 March 2016,[2] and the shortlist of six titles was announced on 11 April 2016.[3]
