This is the AA template.

Shift_JIS art is artwork created from characters within the Shift_JIS character set, a superset of ASCII intended for Japanese usage. It is especially popular on 2channel, which is thought to be the largest internet forum in the world.

Within the Japanese community, Shift_JIS art is sometimes abbreviated as SJIS art, but is most commonly referred to as AA or ASCII art (アスキーアート, Asukī āto), although it rarely restricts itself to the 95 printable characters within the ASCII standard.

This template is used to indicate where Shift_JIS art might be rendered incorrectly. Without proper rendering support, you may see question marks, boxes, or other symbols instead of kanji and kana.

Usage

Place this template at the beginning of the article to warn readers that special rendering additions may be required.

For a smaller template with no image, use a blank image parameter: {{AA|image=}}
